Introducing ^_^Otaku Designs^_^

One of our dear friends (Lola79 Hienrichs) has decided to pursue creating tattoos on Second LIfe and we wanted to introduce to everybody about what we believe are creative and kawaii tattoos.  So far her tattoos gear towards women but we spotted a few that can also be worn by men. If you are one of the many individuals who adore cupcakes then you should definitely check out her merchandise. She has 2 tattoos out that feature cupcakes in cute designs that will definitely add to your kawaii look.

Her mainstore is located at Razor Mall in Armaud. Once you tp to the mall you will see her store above “Sassy Kitty Designs”. You can either fly up there or use the ramp adjacent to the “Metal Gear store”. You can also find her tattoos at Rare Breed’s Main Store located on the Voo Doo Dolls sim in “Dover Crossing”.

Rara Avis… up and comers to watch

Hello, I’m Willow and I’ve hijacked the blog from Danae and Kristian today.  Sshh don’t tell them.

Several weeks ago Ivey Deschenel had a space open up next to her main store Sn@tch on Pulse and instead of putting a permanent store in there she’s decided to allow a different shop a month to use the space, for free. Send applications to Ivey if interested.

Anyway, the first shop selected was Rara Avis, a new shop and designers to me.  The designers are Azriel Ballyhoo, Nineveh Teskat and Nix Fiertze (as far as I can tell from the designs sold so far) ;o) They design mostly for women but also some adrogynous designs can be found as well. Everything from gothic to punk to glam.

Below are photos of 4 items to give you an idea of why I feel these designers are ones to watch.  I know I’m excited to know what they will do in the future.

First up is a little gothic black dress.  It’s lovely and i especially love the sheer bottom of the dress.

This next outfit I simply adore and it’s for both men and women. For me this was a must have as soon as my eyes fell on it.

Another adrogynous outfit is the punkish Dead & Buried.

And lastly, a new dress that just came out this past week. It comes in four colours but I was drawn to the raspberry. 2 skirt lengths, a corset and top gives you 4 different looks.

JRock style at Discord,[]Trap[], and Hair Fair!!!

In this post I attempted to dress a little more towards the styles that my favorite Japanese Rock Artists dress in. This is by far my first attempt and I think the end result came out pretty well in the end. In my journey to attain the JRock fashion that I idolize, I had made a trip to 3 different places. I had heard so much about the Hair Fair that launched this past Friday so I decided to give it a look. I found a really great hair from Calico Ingmann Creations that pretty much fit my definition of JRock.

Now that I had the hair, i thought to myself……hmm where can I get a great skin. So I asked a friend of mine and she suggested a store called []Trap[]. So I tp’d to that store and found a series of JRock skins to choose from. They had so many choices and it was so hard to just pick one. Once I picked my skin, I figured where can I go to get the perfect JRock style clothes.

I had seen on a another blog a post about Discord Nightmare City, so I decided to check it out. As I wandered around the sim teleporting to different areas, I came across the “new clothing street” and found the perfect outfit for me. I wanted something I would never normally wear that had some edge and carried out the vibe that I was trying to attain a different look. I was amazed at the prices and quality of the clothes available. I saw outfits ranging from 30L to 250L on the SIM. And most of these outfits were very detailed and had intricate prims attached. Ruth challenge

I decided to take up Alaska’s challenge to put on a ruth shape and make no changes to it except changing the foot size to 0 and seeing what you come up with. Here I am in my ruth shape and I think I look pretty cute.

To emo or not to emo…

That’s how I’ve been feeling lately. A friend left for Finland the end of June to chase rocker boys and I’m still here. It’s so not fair, I want to be in Finland too chasing rocker boys, jumping them and demanding they kiss me. So I found myself moping around the Ganehsa area hoping my mood would improve.

I chose this adorable newspaper dress from Retox, thinking I could check if my friend had been arrested for all her stalking. I love this dress, there was no adjusting on my part which is always a big plus because I suck at adjusting things. I’ve ruined more items while trying to adjust them. LOL The dress comes in black and white print as I’m wearing and also the funnies (I wasn’t in the mood to laugh).

Pulse and Black Swan….rockin sims!!!!

I am sure many of us have heard of the PULSE sim that houses one of my new fave stores, Sn@tch. If you haven’t checked out Sn@tch (slurls will be posted at end of post) I recommend you do so immediately. A while back they had a 50% off all items within the store and I snagged a few outfits. I only took a pic of one so far because my intention is to do a post with Danae on the lovely outfits we have acquired from Sn@tch. If it wasn’t for Danae I would have never considered checking out the store. They have items ranging from Goth to Punk to Hardcore to everyday attire. I personally gravitate towards Gothic attire but I wanted to try a new look. I attempted a Punk look and walked around the sim exploring and taking pics.

In the pic above I am wearing the “Swinger Outfit” along with some black suede “Hustlers” that I acquired from Sn@tch. For those of us who love getting more options for the LINDENS they spend at stores…..well then Sn@tch is the store for you. The “Swing Outfit” comes with the following: 3 bowling shirts (Misfit, Medic, and Red Hot Martin), a wifebeater that say’s “I’d rather be snorting cocaine off a hooker’s ass”, black knit slacks, and a pair of tortoise shell sunglasses. I definitely got my money’s worth for all the pieces that came in the package. I bought these shoes prior to the 50% off sale at a price of 250L which I think is fairly reasonable for such a kickass pair of shoes that top off my attempt at looking punk/hardcore.

Hello I’m Kristian!!!

Hello, I’m Kristian and this is my first post on our blog. Danae was so kind to take me around shopping for new clothes because we all know that sometimes us guys need inspiration from lovely ladies. We had agreed to check out a few sims before we embarked on my mini-shopping spree. Eventually we found ourselves at the Sinistyle sim.

I was looking for a great pair of boots and I had heard so much about the boots at Sinistyle, so of course I was dying to check them out and see for myself what the deal was. It was hard deciding on a pair of boots but I eventually decided on the Ripper boots, mostly because of the scripted blades. I snuck a few pics of me shopping and was lucky to snag one with Danae.

We walked around the store and I indulged in a few items. Okay maybe more than a few items but with the detail and quality of these clothes and accessories were so hard to resist, it is no wonder that Sinistyle received such high praise from its customers.

Meet me in Transylvania

Hello, I’m Danae and tonight I visited Transylvania. Doesn’t that sound like fun to you?

Of course, my look tonight is what inspired me to go looking for vampires. It reminded me a bit of Gary Oldman in Dracula.

I found this adorable lolita dress in <3 Cupcake, a shop I would never normally think to look. It goes to show, never dismiss a store without first looking around. You never know what you’re going to find. I paired it up with a pair of socks from Freak Couture and the fab Mortido Mary Janes from Katatonik. They have little skulls and colour-changing ribbons on them.
