Nothing like being the newbie at work

Being the newest one hired means I have to do all the running for everyone else in the office. Today that means coffee run. Thank goodness it’s a nice, beautiful sunny day and I can wear my new sun dress. This pretty strapless dress is in my favourite colour, PINK, and is perfect for daytime wear and with a little change of accessories and shoes, a casual date.

The dress was designed by Dead Dollz owner Kiddo Oh, and is for the Megastuff Hunt, which runs March 1-31. Actually there will be 4 hunts going on at once from these folks, Megastuff, Menstuff, Womenstuff and Homestuff Hunts.

Also, look at these fabulous shoes from L. Warwick. There’s been a lot of new releases recently and most, if not all, are addons for SLink feet. I love these ones in the sparkly candy pink. How could I pass them up and the height!! No more shortness for me. 😉

Yesterday was the closing day of Futurewave. My intention was to get these posts out during this week but alas being ill has muddled with my plans. If you get lucky, some of these stores will begin to carry these items in their mainstores soon.

Fresh Face’s new Skin Line

Fresh Face Doll is a new skin line from Fresh Face and Evie is an adorable skin. I LOVE the cheek dimples especially. The 4 skin tones are new, even though 2 of them are named snow and natural. You will need to get the new appliers for these tones. Evie comes with regular and large breasts as well as a small breast version; and there is an eyebrow and no-eyebrow of each as well (in photo the 2nd skin has no eyebrows). The four tones are called snow, natural, maple and chocolate.

If Evie is any indication, I think I’m going to like the new Doll skin line.

Here I added some eyeliner, a few moles and lip gloss with teeth for a cute look.

Arabian Nights with Hopscotch

Hopscotch owner Chandni Khondji has designed a cute pair of shoes and belly dancer inspired static poses for this round of the Fantasy Collective.

The Almera shoes come in 8 rich jewel-tone colours and are made for SL flat feet. The design is embroidered in gold with golden piping around the foot. I do like these shoes, they are adorable.

There’s also a pack of 5 static belly-dancing inspired poses called ‘Hips Don’t Lie’. These are great photo-taking poses in your belling dancing outfits. 😉

SYSY’s participates in Fantasy Collective

The Fantasy Collective (whose theme is Arabian Nights this round) opened yesterday and SYSY’s is participating this time around. SySy Chapman has designed the beautiful Asila gown that comes in 5 jewel-tone colours and each has a complimentary colour mandala belt. The gown is mesh and comes in the standard sizes. She also has a gacha machine available that dispenses pretty bangles, in silver or gold. There are single thin bangles and single thick bangles plus stacked bangles that you could win. I especially love the texture of the dented bangles.

Jane Austen at the Seraphim Social

This round’s theme for the Seraphim Social is Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice. I loved this book and, of course, the movie with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. I also love the clothing from this time. The dresses were simpler, not all the corsets and big puffy skirts of Victorian times.

I picked up B.C.C.’s beautiful Jane Empire Dress. It’s something I had to have. It comes in 3 colours, all pale and soft, and has a long bow in back. Distorted Dreams has the pretty Caroline Necklace & Earring set that I felt complimented the gown. I also could not pass up Tentacio’s Jane Hat. I love the shape and it has a large colour-changing bow. And lastly, I paired it off with fri.day’s Lizzie Slippers in golden. All of these items can be found at the Seraphim Social.

As I was looking for a perfect hair style for my ensemble, Tram came out with some new hair and the D208 style was perfect. It was made for this time period and I ran to pick it up.

Now I’m all set for a stroll on this lovely spring day. I just need a young man to accompany me and it’d be perfect. 😉

AZE at Futurewave and Genre

AZE has some great items out for Futurewave. All 3 items I’m about to show you have a steampunk look and feel to them, which I love. There’s the Oscillation Enhancer, you can wear on your left or right ear, or both if you’re totally deaf. There is a size for men and women. The Reverse Periscope is very cool and has animated lenses. It’s also unisex with sizes for both men and women. Lastly, is the Voice Modulator for women (don’t worry guys, one for you will be released soon). You get a scripted and a non-scripted version and is great if you want to be heard, say for example while you’re hosting.

Out at Genre is a pretty necklace called Forest Treasures Necklace. It looks like items from the forest have been gathered and fashioned into a delicate necklace.
