Spring is in the air, at least in SL

Where I live it’s still cold and lots of rain; even a bit of snow last week but in SL it’s springtime and Leri Miles has designed a very pretty flowery print mini dress for the Designer Showcase. I love the print on this dress and hope she’ll do a dress without the frill or even a blouse in the same print. The dress is mesh and comes in the standard sizes as well as 6 springy colours.

Leri Miles is also taking part in Pink Fusion Hunt, which starts tomorrow, May 1st and runs to May 31st. There are 50 stores across the grid participating and the hunt item in each store is 5L. Leri’s hunt gift is the Marlene dress in blush (which is not available with the other colours).

If you can dodge a wrench….

Do you know the rest of that saying? Yes, one of my most hated things to do during gym class when I was a kid; dodge ball!! For Pose Fair, NanTra released Dodge This! – a set of 8 poses and their mirrors, along with 5 balls to rezz or hold plus an extra set of transferrable balls so you can play with your friends. Here are a few shots, including what I looked like after being hit first time (last photo). 😉

Chandni Khondji of Hopscotch has designed some gorgeous boots for the Fantasy Collective. The pirate inspired heel boots, come in 6 colours and are not rigged mesh. I love the richness of the colours set off against a rich gold colour.

Sakide @ 100 Block

If you haven’t visited 100 Block yet, you have a few days to grab these lovelies from Sakide. When I tried on “The Block” outfit I pretty much wore it for 2 weeks. But here I am finally showing you what awesomeness you are missing. I got a little pose happy also, I picked up the “Stance” poses by Vanity Poses at Pose Fair and I did a photo montage of myself.

I loved how Kinu added leggings and gloves to this outfit and the texturing on the outfit made it the perfect gothic outfit for me to prance about in. I also picked up the awesome Dread boots by Razor at The Block but they are available in-store also.

Imeka has been busy

This month, owner of Imeka NatiWilliams, has been very busy with various events. For kustom9 she’s released a very cute flowery shoulder bag. These mini bags come in 10 colours plus an all black bag. There is a pose with each bag and can be purchased separately or as a fatpack. Kustom9 still has a few weeks to go so you still have time to get down and pick up one or more.

Poses make out SLives better

Pose makers and animators make our SLives better. If not for them we’d we walking and standing funny and taking photos would be a lot harder. I am very grateful for them and having dabbled a bit in making a few poses, I know how much work goes into the process.

One of my favourite pose stores is fri.day. I still use poses from fri.day today that I bought 2-3 years ago because they are well done and natural looking. Creator Darling Monday has 2 pose packs at the fair called Careless and Monday. I anticipate using these poses a lot in my blogging and photo taking.

Manifeste owner July Raymaker makes really nice poses. This store has become one of my favourites recently because I feel the poses look natural and are smooth; as well, they don’t distort the clothing so are excellent for me to get the best shots when I blog using them. Manifeste has several new poses out and 3 of them are below.

Gods & Goddesses at Theme Park

The current round of Theme Park is in full swing and this round’s theme is Gods & Goddesses.

Coquet’s Athena Dress is very sexy and I can imagine a goddess wearing it. It comes with a hud to change the colours and comes in the standard mesh sizes.

Frogstar’s Valkyrie Wings are a headpiece modeled after Norse mythology. Five colours are available, each 125L and of course there’s a fatpack available for 375L.

Collisions’ tattoo is called Sarashwati. It’s a backpiece with some tattooing on the front and arms. From the tattoo, I think it’s a god from India.

Shoes, shoes and more shoes

Another event beginning today is the Fantasy Collective and SYSY’s has new pirate-looking pumps. I love the shape of these shoes and they’re really cute. They come in black and brown and are made for SLink medium feet.

SYSY’s newest shoe release are the Blocky Mary Janes made for SLink medium feet. These cute mesh shoes come in 8 colours (plus there’s a 9th colour in with the 21 shoe event. I love mary jane shoes and most that I have are low heel so it’s nice to have a higher heel pair.

Imeka is taking part in this years pose fair with a set of cute stands called Charmy and, I believe, is her first set of sits. The sits are very cute and well done.
