The Beauty of Colour at Uber

Nylon Pinkney, owner of Nylon Outfitters, designed some beautiful India-inspired clothing for this round of Uber.

For those of you who have read my blog over the years know that pink is my favourite colour and until today I have not been able to show you the exact shade that makes me squeal in delight. NO’s Couture Saree comes in 3 different colours, including the luscious pink I am wearing. It’s partially mesh and system layer and also is designed for Maitreya’s Lara mesh body. The henna tattoo on my hands is also from Nylon Outfitters.

Another item at Uber is from Little Bones. When you purchase a colour pack of the Shaaswat hair you receive 2 versions, one with just the head jewel and one with both jewel and scarf which includes a hud to change scarf colours.

The other clothing item Nylon designed for Uber is the Tunic Dress. It comes in several colours/patterns and includes the leggings. Olive has 2 hair designs, one of which is Powder which is a straight hair which falls below the butt. Yummy has pretty charm necklaces which comes in several designs.

Dead eyes…

Katat0nik is participating in this round of Oneword which runs from May 1st to May 15th. The word for this round is “darkness” and Kat has given us black roses growing out of our eyes. Included are the mesh roses and texture black eyes, for only 50L.

Kata0nik also has a tiny satellite store set up at Oporuto until May 31st and has put a cute skull bow out as a gift for the duration of the stay. A hud comes with the hair bow to change between black and white colours.

My fantastic eye makeup, which includes the eyebrows, comes from Lovely Disarray and Runaway’s new hot “Yolandi” hair, are both currently at the Dark Style Fair.

“The Fool”

“Create your own Tarot” is a series of events exploring one theme of the Major Arcana cards each month for two weeks. This month opens today, March 15th, at 9:00 am SLT and the tarot card is “The Fool”.

Parallel to the event, a Photo Contest will be held with the ongoing card as a theme. A template is supplied on the Photo Contest page as well as in the Flickr group. Winners will be announced after the closing of the event each month.

Two participants are Ayashi and Aparecium. Ayashi released an adorably cute hairstyle called Sunny. Each colour pack includes a rigged and non-rigged version of the hair plus a hud to change the hair colours and the stars/band colours.

Aparecium has 3 items for sale at the event. The tank top has a nice design of “the fool” on it while the sneakers have some symbols in a yellow/brownish colour. The necklace design is a combination other top and sneaker designs together. All tie in very nicely together.

the recital…

It’s prom time at Collab88 this month and Bubble Clawtooth invited Jackal Ennui to be his date.

Jackal is the owner of Lassitude & Ennui and has designed a very pretty soft velvet dress with pouffy sleeves and lace detailing. I love the feel of velvet and would be draped in it if I could. 🙂 The dress is available in 6 colours and comes in the standard mesh sizes plus a fitmesh size. To go with the dress is a dainty bow necklace, available in gold or silver for 88L each. Once Collab88 ends, the dress and necklace will be moved to the main store at full prices.

Clawtooth’s contribution to the date is 2 romantic hairstyles (same style but one with bangs and one without). This lovely hair falls down the back with a small braid held with a bow. There is a hud to change the colours of the bow included.

Also from Collab88 is this beautiful violin and bow from Bauhaus Movement and my cute flats from Fri.day. There are several violin colours to choose from and each colour includes 4 or 5 violins, each with a different pose. Fri.day’s adorable flats are available in various colours and include SLink, Belleza and Maitreya versions.

Unicorns come to me…

Unicorns are the theme for this month’s Collab88 and it’s enough to make me squeeeee. Come on, who doesn’t love unicorns. They’re so beautiful, pure and ethereal. So I put my look together today, thanks to all the unicorn goodness I found at C88.

My beautiful strapless dress comes from Katat0nik. This original fitmesh dress is hand drawn and comes in 6 pretty colour combinations. It is designed around the SLink Physique mesh body.

Glam Affair is one of my favourite designers and their Sia skin *fairy tales* from Collab88 is just beautiful. The skin comes in several gorgeous makeups but I chose the green eyemakeup as I have a fondness for lime green.

I turned into a unicorn with the gorgeous unicorn horn and ears from Half-Deer. It also comes with a tale. Tableau Vivant Celestia’s pretty wavy hair has a nice braid on the side. The very cute unicorn cameo necklace is from Yummy. It comes in the pink colour I am wearing but also a black version (which I’m tempted to go back for). And lastly, my little unicorn companion is from MishMash.

Hart Larsson of PXL has released a new version of his beautiful Mia skin for this round of Uber, called Macabre. It comes in the pale skin tone with 4 wonderful makeups. Each makeup includes 9 brow colour options, a cleavage option and nails remover.

Also from Uber I found these wonderful long claw gloves from Baiastice, which comes in several colours, my hot shoes from Fri.day, the eyes and horns are from Izzie’s, Maxi Gossamer’s large cross necklace and hair from Truth, which includes the headband. Both hair and headband colours can be changed via a hud.

The sexy vintage corset outfit is from Pixicat at last round’s Collab88. I adore this outfit and it comes in a few really nice colours besides black. Lastly, the fox tattoo is from .Things. at the Fantasy Gacha.

curiosities…

I love shopping in curio shops. They are filled with fascinating items you usually don’t fine anywhere else.

NatiWilliams of Imeka has another new cute pose set out for kustom9. The pose set is called Nyla which includes 8 static poses. All the poses in this post come from this pose pack.

Another item from this round of kustom9 is this pretty striped sweater from Bueno.  I love the colours and it’s the perfect length. My pants are from quirky Mikunch, one of my favourite shops. My shoes are from Lolapop in this round of L’amitie Fall Market. I’m a sucker for chunky platform shoes and love these. There are several colours to choose from with a subtle pattern and tiny gold leaf decoration.

TAG has started which is where you’ll find this cute hair style from Spellbound. Each colour pack comes with a large colour-changing bow. My cool necklace comes from Nylon Outfitter’s TAG gacha. Each one comes as a necklace and a wall portrait. If you happen to get the Nylon Outfitter Mystery Coupon, then you receive this very cool eyeball ring when you turn it in. Lastly, my pretty skin comes from Glam Affair as their anniversary gift at TSS.

autumn walks…

Autumn is my favourite season. I love the crispness of the air and all the gorgeous colours. I love to see the various sims decorated for the season. I have 2 looks of the day today centering around this gorgeous plaid skirt.

I wore my new favourite skirt for a luncheon date. I bet if I touched it I’d feel a heavy soft wool. The warm turtle neck is the perfect compliment to the skirt. Both are from Shai and come in many colours. My boots are new from CLAVv. out now at Genre. I love the fall colour and the height is perfect. My little bag is a gift from Mikunch at TSS to celebrate its anniversary and my beautiful hair is new from Truth found at the Mystic Realms fair.

Later that evening, I wrapped myself in this great tweed coat and went for a walk at Neva Sky village. This wrap coat is from ::K:: out now at FameShed. It comes in several colours.

In just a couple of days, Candy Fair will be closing its doors this year. If you have not been to Candy Fair yet, now is the time to check out both sims. There are a ton of great stores offering great merchandise.

I picked up a great outfit by The Sugar Garden and also the lovely necklace. I was lucky to have the matching shoes already in my inventory so I didn’t have to purchase them. I walked next door and found the beautiful hair by Ploom. I knew that I needed the hair in all the colors.

I walked a few doors over and snagged the lovely skin by Kooqla and my look had finally come together. All I needed was a great manicure to top off my look. I knew that my SL Mom – Autumn Amaranth made a great set that would go well with this dress so I explored the 2 sims and found her store “The Wicked Peach”.

While walking around I found what I call a Gothic inspired candy shop display items and pretty much bought all I could. In the picture below you will see items from a new to me brand called “Lucky Charlotte Camille” and I am truly loving what I see. The Dessert Display Table was also available in a couple other color options but the “black” color struck my fancy. Then the candy jars were all so beautifully done and textured, but what I loved most were the “black” candy jars because they had “eyeballs” in the jars and it was beautifully macabre.

Happy anniversary…

The Season’s Story is celebrating their one year anniversary this round and some of the participating stores have left a gift for the shoppers. That’s very nice of them and we all thank them. 🙂

Imeka has a cute 8–pose set called Lulu and are used for all photos in my post today. The adorable flower clutch is her gift for TSS and includes a hold pose.

I love this off-shoulder dress by B.C.C. It comes in several shades and for 100L extra, you can purchase a hud of texture changes for the corset. It’s very well done and I would love to see a blouse made of the top part, in an ivory colour. It would be so perfect for steampunk looks. 😉

My beautiful face is courtesy of Atomic’s new TSS skin called Autumn. It comes with 5 eyebrow options, 2 lip tatoo layers and loud mouth and nyam nyam appliers. Ivy designs some of the best skins around and I always look good in them. I’ve been wearing Atomic skins for the past 5-6 years.

My last TSS item I’m wearing is from Elua. The Wilma hair comes with 2 versions – a messy bun and a somewhat neat bun. I love the softness of Elua’s hair textures.

My necklace and boots are from this round of Collab88. The Wendy boots are from Fri.day and come in several colours. The socks change texture and can also be removed. Maxi Gossamer’s pretty Sister Catrina Mertos necklace comes in gold and silver (both included). On touch you can change the colour of the beads and the stone on the cameo piece.
