Ivey Deschanel of Snatch just released the cute Mamrie Dress. This a-line shape dress has a delicate flower pattern, no sleeves and a lace collar. With most of Snatch’s mesh items, you purchase by size so you do have to demo the dress for the correct size. When you buy the size, I chose small, you receive the dress in 6 or 7 colours. I’m wearing the black but there are some bright, fun colours too. The adorable mini also works well as a top over leggings, capris, jeans, etc. I’m wearing my dress over net leggings by Schadenfreude and my fantastic shoes are from Random Matter.

The Martian Chronicles

A Tattered Page is underway with Ray Bradberry’s The Martian Chronicles as theme for this round. Synjari Myriam of Senzafine named her gown Ylla, which was inspired by the first look at the Martians as the exploration expeditions began. Ylla, a Martian woman trapped in an unromantic marriage, dreams of the coming astronauts through telepathy.

And a new year begins…

…and out first event is underway.  Uber began a few days ago and this round’s theme is “opulence”.  Hart Larsson of PXL has his beautiful Mia Opulence skin at the event.  It comes in 4 skin tones with 4 makeups of each tone.  Each makeup includes 5 eyebrow options, moles, freckles and cleavage layers. In the photo below are the 4 makeups in one of the skin tones available.

Continuing with Sax Shepherd Designs’ Aphrodite collection from the last post, today I bring you the stunning Aphrodite Jeweled Stilettos. The shoes are designed for the SLink high feet, are 100% original mesh, materials enabled and feature an anklet of jewels cascading down into a stiletto heel. They are available in four metals, four satins and a special mirror lamé. They can also be purchased in packs which include the Decadence pack (the 4 metals), the Bridal pack (the satins) and the fat pack (all the shoes). The accompanying hud allows resizing and jewel changing which include diamonds, pearls, ruby and onyx. Single pairs go for $599L, bridal pack is $999L, decadence pack $1299L and fat pack for $1999L.

Kiddo Oh of Dead Dollz has put a lot of work and time in designing some stunning gowns for Miss Virtual World. These gowns were for various MVW contestants and are now in store. Let’s look at three of my favourites!

The “Andalusia” gown is inspired by the flamboyant Andalusian traditional clothing. This hour-glass shape gown was worn by Miss Virtual Spain. The tight corset features a distinctive embroidery while a black lace decorates the chest. It comes with two floral embroidered mantons (one with a pose and one without), traditionally worn by flamenco dancers. The manton with the pose is more of a gift as it was meant to be worn on the catwalk during Miss Virtual World’s National Costumes Show. The other manton is copy/mod so you can add your own poses if you want.

DiamondGem is a beautiful gown with a long, full skirt with a sheer, organza top and a thin gold belt.

My favourite of the three is Shinobi. The inspiration for this gown is not the typical kimono but is attributed to the shinobi, or ninjas as they are better known as. A female shinobi uses seduction to get close to their prey and this dress is certainly seductive. I love the sheer bodice embellished with an embroidered sakura tree and the sexy long-slit skirt. The obi is a tribute to Geisha’s traditional clothing.

Sax Shepherd, owner of Sax Shepherd Designs, has also been very busy the past six months and has finally released his exquisite Aphrodite collection. The set consists of jewelry and shoes (which will be blogged soon). The Jewelry Collection includes a choker, a pair of bracelets, a cocktail ring, a headpiece diadem and 2 sets of earrings. The jewel options include diamonds, pearls, ruby and onyx. The jewels are divided into 3 zones allowing for plenty of mix and match options.  All the pieces are 100% original mesh and materials enabled.

Another busy person has been Ikon Innvoia of IKON. They’ve just released their beautiful Deadshine Eyes. Each colour purchase includes 10 shine colours in both regular eyes and mesh eyes with a hud for effects. There are 57 colours to choose from. I love IKON eyes and wear them probably 95% of the time.

Merry Gothmas

Gothmas by Gaslight is one of my favourite events. There’s something there for every goth, from clothing to decor.

Eclectica has two beautiful jewelry sets made for the event. The Nightblooms set consists of a neckpiece, ring and earrings. They are unrigged so can be resized and are texture changing. There are 7 colours, which include a white and grey, and those 2 colours can be tinted; so really you have an abundance of colours. They are materials ready and original mesh.

The Gothic Pearls Neckpiece & Earrings set looks a little other worldly with its random placed beads and spidery metal. They come in 8 colours and a fatpack. They are original mesh, unrigged so they can be resized and are materials ready.

My two outfits can be found in the Sakide booth at Gothmas. I’m in love with the sexy Catsuit and the Christmas Eve Gown is lovely. Even though they are dark you still get the christmasy feel.

Gothmas by Gaslight is underway and is full of gothy, christmas goodness. Senzafine’s “Isadora” dress has a modern victorian gothy look to it. It’s a beautiful long beaded dress with a pleated bodice. There are 3 colour packs; each pack comes with a hud of 5 colours.

My Scarab Neckpiece is by Eclectica and can be found in the current round of Genre. The piece is original mesh and comes in 6 colour combinations. I really like the uniqueness of this piece.

Each colour comes with sheer and for the modest, opaque versions. There is no alpha layer but I found none was needed. Sax Shepherd Designs
Owner, Sax Shepherd has 2 pairs of shoes in Winter Houndstooth for only 299L for both pairs. The cute Saddle Janes Flats were designed for the SLink flat feet and also for the default system feet. The second pair are the Button Mules, made for the SLink medium feet. Both shoes come with a colour-changing hud of red/black and black/white colours. So really, you get 4 shoes for 299L; an awesome deal. Neither of these houndstooth fabric/colour options will be sold again after today.

Also today only, is an in-store special of Bow Mules with matching Classic Waist Cincher in the same houndstooth fabrics for only 149L. After today they will be set back to normal price of 349L.
