Punk is at Collab88

Punk is this month’s theme at Collab88 which warms my heart. I grew up during the original punk time of the ’70s and have always had a love for the style.

Katatonik designed very cool Bow Wrist Straps that fit both the default av and mesh bodies. These original mesh straps come in 9 colours and can be resized. All colours have a left and right version and the whole pack is only 88L.

Take a look at my funky nails. They come from the brilliant hands of Nylon Pinkney of Nylon Outfitters. The Punk Nails Collection is available for both SLink and Maitreya.

Ivy Graves of Atomic has opened a new brand called Noir for more of a darker side of clothing and one of her first designs is the cute plaid dress I’m wearing. It comes with a hud giving you 2 skirt colours and 6 top textures.

One of my favourite shoe shops, Fri.day, has new punkish boots out that come in several colours. I always look forward to seeing what they have at Collab88.

And fast becoming a favourite jewelry shop is Yummy. I love Polyester’s funky designs and the safety pins brings back memories of old-time 70’s punks. you don’t see a lot of them today. 😉 The spiked collar with lock is brilliant as well.

Dragonscale…

Senzafine has these great dragonscale breastplates out at We Love Roleplay. They are in your standard mesh sizes plus a fitmesh version and are offered in 4 colours. I would love to see matching short skirts or leggings to go with these breastplates, as well as some bracers. It’s really a very pretty pattern and Synjari has a way with mixing colours that I love.

SYSY’s sexy little dress…

This round My Attic is full of sexiness like SYSY’s sexy Unwrapme Dress. The dress has a wrapped look to it with a light flower pattern in between the wraps. The dress is very pretty and perfect for upcoming Valentine Day’s dates. The dress is standard mesh sizing but also works with SLink’s Physique and Maitreya’s Lara mesh bodies. There are 10 colours to choose from and are only 95L each while the event lasts then will be moved to the main store at full price.

Oh My Gacha and Seasons Story winter editions have arrived!

Oh My Gacha and Seasons Story, Winter editions, have finally opened! Cila and Katat0nik are two shops that have designed adorable wintery wear to keep us warm while having fun outside.

At the Seasons Story, Katat0nik Pidgeon of Katat0nik designed really cute original mesh and hand drawn comfy boots. You’ll see 2 gacha machines; both are filled with the same boots but one is for SLink Physique and the other works with both default system feet and SLink flat feet and are only 50L a play. There are 11 commons and 1 rare pair of boots and there are 4 different patterns in various colours. I’d love to have a pair of these in real life; they look so comfy and are very stylish.

Over at OMG, Cila designed a really nice unisex snowboard jacket. I love the look of these jackets. They have a waist drawstring and a hood, and come in various colours and patterns. There are 8 commons and 1 rare and you can get one for 75L a play.

Merry Gothmas

Gothmas by Gaslight is one of my favourite events. There’s something there for every goth, from clothing to decor.

Eclectica has two beautiful jewelry sets made for the event. The Nightblooms set consists of a neckpiece, ring and earrings. They are unrigged so can be resized and are texture changing. There are 7 colours, which include a white and grey, and those 2 colours can be tinted; so really you have an abundance of colours. They are materials ready and original mesh.

The Gothic Pearls Neckpiece & Earrings set looks a little other worldly with its random placed beads and spidery metal. They come in 8 colours and a fatpack. They are original mesh, unrigged so they can be resized and are materials ready.

My two outfits can be found in the Sakide booth at Gothmas. I’m in love with the sexy Catsuit and the Christmas Eve Gown is lovely. Even though they are dark you still get the christmasy feel.

2014 Jewelry Fair starts tomorrow!

The Jewelry Fair will take place from Saturday, Sept 13th, through Sunday, Sept 28th. The fair will showcase new and exclusive jewelry from over 50 designers from around the grid and is presented by Pale Girl Productions.

They will be enforcing a strict script policy at the fair so please wear as little as possible, keeping in mind it is a PG sim so keep your naughty bits covered. 😉 The best way to fight lag and no scripts is to wear system clothing. I have a folder full of system clothing for these kinds of situations.

There are several new-to-me jewelry stores participating in the fair, one being BluPrintz. Owner Mirajai Maven has designed a lovely orchid necklace, in crystal and in metal. This is a delicate looking necklace and the metal one has tiny buttons on the bottom petal. There are 4 colours available in each of the crystal and metal necklaces.

Synjari Myriam of Senzafine has released a very pretty new gown called Aravereth. This dress is one piece though it looks like 3 separates (corset, outer coat and inner dress). It comes in 8 colours with 2 colours (Peacock Forest (photo 2) and Crimson Gold) available at We Love Roleplay at a 25% discount. I’ve mentioned this before and will again; Synjari’s use of colour is brilliant. She knows her colour chart and puts colours together quite well; and her colour shades are rich and vibrant.

Going for a ride

Nothing like riding in a fast car for a little excitement, except maybe for me it’s putting on a gorgeous dress and feeling fantastic in it. Greymoon has designed a beautiful pencil-skirt dress that comes in 4 colours (red, gold, black and white). Each colour includes fitted mesh and regular mesh sizes. The dress has a highwaisted skirt part with a patterned top of flowers and a belt with a bow made from the dress material. When I look at the dress I get the impression of crushed velvet. It looks sumptious and I love everything about it.

Calico Ingham, of Calico, has designed a beautiful hair style called Estelle. The style is pulled around one side and piles up on the other with lots of wavy curls; it also has bangs and a bit of a bouffant top. I’m in love with this style. Estelle comes in 16 colour packs, each hud having about 5 shades of a colour in it.

Frogstar has a pretty Pearlscent Princess Nail polish, for SLink finger nails and toe nails with each hud containing 8 pretty colours. There is also a gacha machine filled with modern princess pearl necklaces and bracelets in 6 different colours. There are 12 commons (6 necklaces and 6 matching bracelets) and 2 rares (1 necklace and bracelet). The jewelry is original unrigged mesh and goes for 25L a play.

Tiny Trinkets has a set of 3 very pretty hats. They are resizeable and fit both adult and child avs. These hats come in 3 patterns with a black veil covering the eyes. I really like these hats.

It’s World Goth Fair time again!

World Goth Fair is an annual Second Life event, officially sanctioned by World Goth Day to benefit the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. The fair runs from May 15th to June 1st.

Jackal Ennui, owner of Lassitude & Ennui, has created the beautiful Mystic dress, which comes in 4 colours, standard sizes, rigged mesh and best viewed with materials. I love the look and the colours of this dress and I loved wearing it. The Orchid colour is the donation colour with 100% of the proceeds going to the charity (colour in photo below). You can pick up these dresses for 250L each.

The Ravenskull Necklace is unrigged mesh and I would say this definitely unisex. It comes in 4 colours and Black is the donation item with 100% of its proceeds going to the charity. Each necklace is 90L. I really like this necklace; it went well with the gown.

As always, all items are 100% original mesh and design.

2 days left of Fantasy Faire

There’s still time to get down to the fantasy faire and check out the great stuff there and what’s even better is that there probably will be little lag.

AZE has some great jewelry that’s perfect for mermaids. There is the Fluted Scallop Jewelry Set that also has a matching tiara. Then there’s the beautiful Coral & Pearls Tiara. All of these come in a variety of colours for you to choose from.

For non-mermaids, there’s the gorgeous Yum Kimil Maya Tiger Eye & Silver Set (a particular favourite of mine).

AZE has several items set aside for the RFL charity. These are all done in the purple colours and are Fluted Scallop Jewelry Set & Tiara, the Coral & Pearls Tiara and the Forest Treasures Necklace. Proceeds from these items go to the RFL charity.
