The space of geekdom…

Don’t ask me what the title means, the words just came to me all of a sudden and my fingers typed them. 😉

Lassitude & Ennui has two great sets of footwear inspired by sci-fi/cyberpunk at the Geek ‘n’ Nerds fair. The mules are made from a gorgeous soft leather in 4 colours, each with silver and gold heels. As you can see the nanobots have been nibbling at them. These shoes are made for SLink high feet and are 280L each. My adorable R2 dress and superhero tights are from the fair as well.

My fantastic boots come in 6 colours and I’m ready for some heavy-duty stomping. Not only do these books go well with your cypberpunk looks but they’d look great with space outfits. These too are 280L and like the mules, are 100% original mesh. The mask I’m wearing and this great nail bat come from Genre this month.

Hopscotch is also taking part in the Geek ‘n’ Nerds fair with various items. My favourites are the library cabinet and the book houses. The Library Catalog Cabinets come in Silver Birch & silver and Dark Cherry & gold. ‘Share a book’ are little houses sitting on a pole that can be placed inside or outside and allows the sharing of books. It comes in 4 colours (sold separately) and on touch the door opens. There’s also two frames with quotes from Dr. Who, “listen” and “do as you’re told”.

that voodoo that you do…

The theme for this round of the Fantasy Collective is the ‘Bayou’.  From Hopscotch comes a piece of decoration with a voodoo doll, tarot cards and candles.  All the images on the cards are original from owner Chandni Khondji .  There is also a piece of paper pinned to a candle with scribbles on it.  But since you receive two of these, one allows you to add your own photo into that note.

Also from the Fantasy Collective is a great makeup from Nox, VooDoo Eyes from Buzz, a Spell book with snake from May Soul, the swampland shanty I’m in from Frogstar and the beautiful necklace from Enfant Terrible.  This  necklace comes with a short fur vest (I’m not wearing it).

You still should have time to head down and pick up some of these great items and put a spell on someone. 😉

beach blanket bingo…

Yes I’m getting ready for a little beach party and kudos to anyone who recognizes the title of my post today. 😉

Over at the Theme Park, Frogstar’s very nice Kelikea Beach Hut comes in light or dark with 2 different versions of each colour. Version 1 is just the hut itself and is 150L for each colour. Version 2 comes with scripted cushions with room for up to 3 avatars and 18 poses per avatar. This version is 250L for each colour. All are unrigged mesh so they can be resized.

Also at the Theme Park, Alouette has released a cute Beach Tent that includes 8 poses and texturing changing towel. The tent is unrigged mesh and can be resized.

Fresh Face has released a cute new skin called Nora, which comes in 4 skin tones. You receive 6 skins of each tone, 3 with freckles/blush and 3 without and each 3 are cleavage, no cleavage and smaller breasts. They’ve also put out an applier for the SLink Physique mesh body.

His and Hers…

For this round of Fit for a Princess (FFAP), Ravenna Rossini of Frogstar, designed a cute table with 2 coffee cups on it. The Ever After table comes in 3 versions, his & hers, his & his and hers & hers cups. The tablecloth changes colours/textures on a touch and is only 125L.

The Jewel Garden’s FFAP items are an Antique Hanging Lamp, a Hanging Flower Lamp and Spinning Flower light. When you touch the lights on all 3 items, the lights turn on and the flower spins slowly in a basket filled with water. Very pretty.

I want ice cream…

Just when I was ready to eat my delicious ice cream, disaster!! Quick, someone give me a new ice cream cone!

The Summer Of Dreams edition of The Theme Park is now open and will end July 5th. It features whimsical, dreamy and summery goodness; it shouldn’t be missed. The designers participating this round are: Alouette, Cannibelle, Coquet, Embody, Fraidy Cat Designs, Frogstar, Krystal, Leri Miles Designs, NanTra and Songbird.

Leri Miles Designs’ exclusive is a cute, summery outfit of capris and ruffly crop top and includes sandals.

Frogstar’s item is the adorable Moon Fort which is original mesh and comes with 12 animated poses and 6 static poses. There are 5 colours to choose from and each is 175L. I live with my friend Lola and she has a son soI thought it’d be fun to put it up on the beach. Of course I had to try it out when no one was looking; you know, just to test that it’s safe. That’s my story. ;b (here are a few shots of the different poses.)

Let’s leave the Theme Park and head over to Fresh Face because owner PeachieMuah has released a new skin called Celine. This very pretty skin comes in 4 skin tones, and each tone includes a skin with and without freckles, eyebrows, no eyebrows, cleavage and small breasts. Going for a ride

Nothing like riding in a fast car for a little excitement, except maybe for me it’s putting on a gorgeous dress and feeling fantastic in it. Greymoon has designed a beautiful pencil-skirt dress that comes in 4 colours (red, gold, black and white). Each colour includes fitted mesh and regular mesh sizes. The dress has a highwaisted skirt part with a patterned top of flowers and a belt with a bow made from the dress material. When I look at the dress I get the impression of crushed velvet. It looks sumptious and I love everything about it.

Calico Ingham, of Calico, has designed a beautiful hair style called Estelle. The style is pulled around one side and piles up on the other with lots of wavy curls; it also has bangs and a bit of a bouffant top. I’m in love with this style. Estelle comes in 16 colour packs, each hud having about 5 shades of a colour in it.

Frogstar has a pretty Pearlscent Princess Nail polish, for SLink finger nails and toe nails with each hud containing 8 pretty colours. There is also a gacha machine filled with modern princess pearl necklaces and bracelets in 6 different colours. There are 12 commons (6 necklaces and 6 matching bracelets) and 2 rares (1 necklace and bracelet). The jewelry is original unrigged mesh and goes for 25L a play.

Tiny Trinkets has a set of 3 very pretty hats. They are resizeable and fit both adult and child avs. These hats come in 3 patterns with a black veil covering the eyes. I really like these hats.

Tea Party Invite

I sent out invitations to a tea party and was delighted with who showed up. Though Mr Snow Cub wanted to start munching on the goodies right away, Miss Elephant persuaded him to wait until the rest of the guests arrived.

I had received so many acceptances, I set up outside on the balcony as well. This was going to be a grand tea party indeed. It will probably be the talk of SL. 😉

At this month’s Fit for a Princess I found what I needed. The Ladies Tea Set from Circa includes 2 floral chairs (which change several colours), the table, tea set and cups/saucers (both which come in 5 colours) and a tray of french desserts. The Petal Pouffe’s (which come in 8 colours and have 12 animated poses) come from Frogstar; and outside, [raare] provided the Garden Blooming Table and the Garden Chairs (seats change colours). The table and each chair is sold separately or all together in one pack.

Of course, I had to wear a pretty party dress and picked Luminary’s Kohana Dress which comes in several colours and the standard mesh sizes. I am also wearing Frogstar’s San Francisco’s Flowers (an unrigged mesh hair accessory which comes in 19 solids and 20 florals. These can be picked up at the gacha machine for 25L a play) and the Svetochka Circlet (which is available in 8 colours for 90L each or 360L fatpack). All of these items are at this round of Fit for a Princess.

Gods & Goddesses at Theme Park

The current round of Theme Park is in full swing and this round’s theme is Gods & Goddesses.

Coquet’s Athena Dress is very sexy and I can imagine a goddess wearing it. It comes with a hud to change the colours and comes in the standard mesh sizes.

Frogstar’s Valkyrie Wings are a headpiece modeled after Norse mythology. Five colours are available, each 125L and of course there’s a fatpack available for 375L.

Collisions’ tattoo is called Sarashwati. It’s a backpiece with some tattooing on the front and arms. From the tattoo, I think it’s a god from India.

Guitars and Girls

At RAFF, Frogstar has a gacha full of colourful electric guitar shoulder bags. The bags come with a pose and there are 2 rare’s, one of which is in the photo below. Frogstar’s exclusive is a very pretty hair clip in the shape of silver stars with star-gems in 5 colours to choose from.

The Little Bat has released some hot leather buckled pants in 8 fabulous colours. The buckles run up the back of the legs and there’s a little peak-a-boo opening showing off butt cleavage. 😉 You can match the pants with the Natalie tops. The tops are black with a spike collar; the sleeves and bottom of the top is in a colourful plaid, and you all know how I love plaids. To complete the look, 3 buckled chokers with a different ornament hanging from it, in my photo it’s a bat.

Another designer participating in RAFF is Leri Miles Design. Her Sheryl dress is simply gorgeous. The dress material reminds me of a heavy brocade and looks luxurious. The strapless mini dress comes in 8 rich colours and the standard mesh sizes. I loved wearing the dress and the espresso was my favourite colour.

I paired LMD’s dress with Panda Punx’s Gabriella skin. Garbiella is a very pretty skin that comes in 5 skin tones and 5 makeups of each tone. You also receive a skin with and without cleavage. Available also are the appliers you can’t live without; SLink, Lolas, Phat/Cute Azz, baby bump, etc.
